The Pride of the Old Dominion continues to make a name for itself around the state and the East Coast. The latest victory came in late October when the E. C. Glass Marching Band placed second in their class in the largest band competition in the Commonwealth of Virginia. The group competed against more than 56 bands from Tennessee, Pennsylvania, North and South Carolina and Virginia during the James Madison Parade of Champions Marching Band Competition. By the end of the day, E. C. Glass was the highest placing Virginia band in their class and finished among the top six percent overall.
