The Lynchburg Retired Teachers Association held their annual Scholarship Awards Luncheon in May to honor two high school seniors who plan to dedicate their lives to teaching.
During the luncheon, Jada Johnson, a senior at Heritage High School and Robert Harvey, a senior at E. C. Glass High School received E. C. Glass Future Teacher Scholarships, each for $2500. Anna also earned the $500 Edith B. Lee Scholarship, awarded to one future teacher at E. C. Glass every year. Both students were honored for their dedication to assisting fellow students and potential to become teachers.
