This is your Board Meeting Brief for the October 18th School Board Work Session.
Superintendent Dr. Crystal Edwards presented the State of the Division to the Board. The document features updates from the past year at Lynchburg City Schools and shares staff and student successes, program highlights, and various data.
Ethel Reeves, Director of Equity and Community Relations, then presented the LCS Communications Plan and discussed the communications efforts of the division.
Director Reeves then discussed developments with the Partners in Education (PIE) program. LCS currently has growing partnerships with over 169 partners, and the annual PIE breakfast event for partners will return on November 22.

The next School Board Meeting is scheduled for Tuesday, November 1 at 5:00 p.m. in the Board Room of the School Administration Building.
