Our Team

Our Bedford Hills team works collaboratively to meet the diverse needs of all students. Our principal and assistant principal lead the learning with the support of our fantastic teaching team, an instructional coach and gifted educator, reading coach, reading specialist and instructional assistants. We currently have 21 general education classes and 3 division-wide special education classes. Five special education teachers, along with our instructional assistants, speech/language therapists, occupational therapist and behavior specialists supports our students with special needs. Our Encore team provides art, music, library, movement education and violin instruction to our students. Our secretaries and custodial staff keep our school clean and highly efficient. Healthy meals are provided at breakfast and lunch by our cafeteria team. Our full-time nurse and school counselor are available to care for and support our students as well.

School History

Bedford Hills was built in 1958 and is named for the neighborhood subdivision in which it is located. Bedford Hills School sustained a complete renovation after a fire in December of 1991. At that time, 250 students were redistricted and added to the enrollment. An additional ten classrooms were added along with a new library, office area, and computer lab.
