The following list is representative of the variety of activities available to Sandusky Elementary students.
Family Fun n’ Fit Night
Sandusky families participate in an evening of family exercise including warm-up/stretching activities, basketball, volleyball, sit-ups, one on one and team races.
Feast on A Good Book
Parents are invited in to read a book with their child(ren) in various locations in the building during the week of our Thanksgiving break. Parents are also encouraged to share a Thanksgiving lunch with their child on that day.
Field Day
Students participate in sports activities, complete with awards ceremony at the end of the day.
Fire Fighters
Lynchburg City Fire Fighters read to Kindergartners.
Hillcats "Hit the Books"
Students participate in an incentive program that encourages reading. Members of the Lynchburg Hillcats visit Sandusky to read to students and explain the program.
Ready, Set, Goal
End of the year celebration for students who participate in SOL preparation utilizing a month long calendar of events.
School Support Nights
Students and families visit area restaurants on designated support nights. Partner businesses include:

Spring Festival
The PTO hosts a Spring Festival that includes bounce houses, obstacle courses, games, cake walk, bake sale, and food sales. Proceeds from the Spring Festival are used to support classroom instruction and incentives.
