The arts form an integral part of the curriculum at T. C. Miller in teaching the core subject areas. Students not only receive instruction in multiple focused visual arts, music, and movement education classes throughout the week, they also attend various STREAM (Science, Technology, Reading, Engineering, ARTS, and Math) and other cross-curriculum classes taught by our Performing Arts teachers. Classes are offered at each grade level Kindergarten through fifth grade.

• Programs called "Open Performances" are scheduled three times a year. Each class showcases classwork that integrates the arts with core SOL content and highlights curriculum that has been recently studied.
• Students also perform in one of our three full-scale musicals under the direction of the music teacher. Costuming, Scenery, and Props are created under the direction of the Visual Arts teacher.
• Suzuki violin lessons are offered for those interested. Violin performances are included in the productions of the Open Performances as well as the Kindergarten through second grade musical productions.
• T. C. Miller offers many extra-curricular groups and clubs, including a competition level Show Choir and Dance/Flag Corp which perform at various community events throughout the year. These groups in addition to our Steppers, Ukulele & Guitar small groups, Reader’s Theater (both puppetry and drama), and Advanced Visual Arts classes/clubs present “Backstage Café” in the spring each year.  This performance showcases their talents and raises money to fund the Performing Arts Program. 
• An exciting twist: as students express an interest in a particular instrument or performing arts venue, the performing arts directors strive to include that interest as an extracurricular activity. Clubs/Independent studies vary slightly each year because of the different interests that may be expressed by students. In recent years, we have had students complete the copyright process for publication of a written script, participate in a Drum Corp, learn the recorder, and participate in local art shows.
• In conjunction with STREAM, fifth grade students are led by the Music Teacher in creating a Cookie Tin Banjo for reinforcement in the areas of math and science. 
• Guest dance and theatre groups, artists and/or authors are invited to present and instruct at T. C. Miller each year.
