Dearington Elementary School continued its celebration of Black History Month with a Living History Museum that featured student presentations about famous African American Virginians.
Fifth-grade students dressed the part and prepared speeches, highlighting famous African American lawmakers, leaders, athletes, writers, chefs, and more. They took the stage one by one to teach their peers and many visitors about what they learned about these important people, including Rashad Jennings, Arthur Ashe, Anne Spencer, Douglas Wilder, Dred Scott, Edna Lewis, Gabby Douglas, and many more.
