10th Graders Participate in “Project Launchburg”  

This February LCS held its fifth annual “Project Launchburg” at area colleges and universities. Tours took place at the following colleges and universities:

• Centra College of Nursing
• Central Virginia Community
• Liberty University
• Lynchburg College
• Randolph College
• Sweet Briar College
• Sylvain Melloul International Hair Academy
• Virginia University of Lynchburg

Project Launchburg gives all Lynchburg City Schools 10th-grade students a chance to tour local post-secondary institutions. This event continues to be a win-win for the schools and community as it gets 10th-graders to begin thinking about post high school education, and gives our area institutions a chance to keep local talent in the community.
