Lynchburg City Schools elementary students participated in the first LCS Fifth Grade Science Fair in April.
Ten individual science fairs were held at each elementary school and winners were chosen to participate in the division-wide event, which was held at Sandusky Middle School. Thanks to a grant from the Lynchburg City Schools Education Foundation, Inc., more than 60 students participated in this activity.
Each winner received ribbons and medals and represented LCS at the Regional Fifth Grade Science Stars at Central Virginia Governor’s School in May.
