Our Elementary Schools

Magnet Schools

Students from across the school division who do not reside in the attendance zone for each school may make application to attend. Student selection for attendance is made on a random basis.

Kindergarten Program

Each elementary school offers a comprehensive full-day kindergarten program. Students who are five years of age on or before September 30 are eligible to attend. Testing for early admission is not available.

Resources

Each school is served by a highly qualified teacher in art, music, and physical education. Instruction is provided weekly to all students based upon the Standards of Learning identified by the Virginia Department of Education. Strings instruction is available to all students beginning in kindergarten as an elective. Instruction is delivered by highly qualified strings instructors using the Suzuki method.
