The Lynchburg City School Board has approved the superintendent’s recommendation to hire Dominique Foster as the new Principal of Perrymont Elementary School.
Most recently, Mrs. Foster served as a Student Services Supervisor for Lynchburg City Schools. In this role, she served as the discipline and behavior support for school administrators, supervisor for school counselors PreK-12, and supported Alternative Education. Among other duties, she collaborated with the Early Childhood Education, Curriculum and Instruction, and Special Education Departments to ensure the success of all students.
Prior to that role, she served as the Assistant Principal of Randolph-Henry High School in Charlotte Court House, Virginia. In this role, she provided leadership and direction for students and staff and assisted with fostering a climate for student and teacher growth.
Mrs. Foster stated, “I am humbled and excited to begin working in this capacity, with the goal of positively impacting the educational trajectory for all students and staff at Perrymont Elementary School.”

Mrs. Foster has a Bachelor’s Degree in Psychology from Virginia Commonwealth University, a Master’s in Counselor Education from North Carolina A & T State University, and an Educational Leadership Endorsement in Administration and Supervision from Longwood University.
