The Optimist Club of Lynchburg recognized 10 high school students in February for their positive achievements while enrolled in the Career-Technical Education Programs in the Lynchburg City Schools.
Each year teachers and administrators recommend students for these awards based on a variety of achievements including grades, attendance, work in class and extracurricular activities.
During the awards ceremony at the Holiday Inn Select, students were individually recognized, along with their instructors. Each student received a certificate and a $50 gift card to Given’s Books. By recognizing the hard work of these students, the Optimist Club hopes to encourage each student to continue down a positive school and career path.
