Heritage High School is preparing something big: Big Musical, Big Comedy, Big Hair–it’s the Pioneer Theatre’s latest performance–“Hairspray.” The mother of all musicals follows Tracy Turnblad, a girl with big hair and an even bigger heart as she sets out to dance her way onto TV’s most popular dance show.
With a cast of more than 60 students, a large student orchestra, and many student techies, the performance is sure to be full of entertainment. And the "star" of the show might very well be the school's athletic trainer, Tony Tucker, as he plays the part of the mother, Edna Turnblad.
Take a sneak peak of the performance daily in a promo video airing on Channel 17. Then come on out and see the show.

The Biblical saga of Joseph and his coat of many colors comes to vibrant life in this delightful musical parable. Joseph, a boy blessed with prophetic dreams, is sold into slavery by his jealous brothers and taken to Egypt where he endures a series of adventures in which his spirit and humanity are continually challenged. Set to an engaging cornucopia of musical styles, from country-western and calypso to bubble-gum pop and rock 'n' roll, this Old Testament tale emerges both timely and timeless in a internationally-renowned musical that’s fun for the entire family.

Alumni Studio Theatre
By Tom Griffin
This very funny yet very touching play focuses on the lives of four mentally challenged men who live in a communal residence under the watchful eye of a sincere, but increasingly despairing, social worker. Filled with humor, the play is also marked by the compassion and understanding with which it peers into the rarely seen world of its handicapped protagonists. This most unusual, most rewarding play hits squarely on the truth of life with its constant interplays and shadings of triumphs and tears.
