A team of E. C. Glass High School students received the highest scores in the JETS TEAMS engineering competition at Liberty University on Monday, February 13, 2012.
The high-scoring Junior Engineering Technical Society team was made up of Adryan Flores, Tori Sipos, Drew Schilthelm, Lauren Barker, Brian Carey, Isaac Alty, Michael Daniel and Ramsey Natour.
This competition is held nationally, and will conclude on March 12. The final scores will be calculated, and the E. C. Glass team will see where it stands.
The teams use math and applied science while working collectively to solve real-world engineering problems. This year's event required students to think critically and analytically about engineering better medicines and advancing health informatics.
Three E. C. Glass teams competed in the event, along with two teams from New Covenant, two from Virginia Episcopal School and two from Orange County High School.
