Thanks to a generous donation from Genworth Financial, four scholarships were awarded this year as part of the Lynchburg City Schools Education Foundation Inc., student scholarship program. Four graduating Lynchburg City Schools students were awarded $2000 college scholarships. The scholarship program, sponored by Genworth Financial, provides scholarships to two E. C. Glass and Heritage High School students. Scholarships are based on scholastic achievement, community service, financial need, PSAT/SAT scores and school/community recommendations. This years recipients from Heritage High School were Eunice Chung and Bryan Locascio Eunice Chung will be attending the University of Virginia and Bryan Locascio will be attending Princeton University.
Scholarship recipients from E. C. Glass High School were Callie Pippin and William Coleman. Callie Pippin will be attending Christopher Newport University and plans to major in business management and marketing. William Coleman will be attending Methodist University where he plans to major in business administration/professional golf management. Congratulations to this years scholarship recipients.
